the change..

so i finally took my car in for its oil change.. i knew that there was no way in hell that i would wake up early enough to get it done before work.. so genius that i am.. i called my buddy paul at the gas station up the street and left him my car tonight.. i'll walk up there in the morning to pick it up.. and check out what he told me.. i thought that i was SUPER late for my oil-change since the sticker said i was supposed to get it like 1500 miles ago.. but he told me that all the companies make it seem like you have to get your oil changed every 3000 miles when in reality it's cool to do it every 5000-7000 miles.. who knew???

so that's basically taken care of.. the urgency? well, i'll be driving down to san diego after work on friday.. so i don't want any issues on the road, for obvious reasons.. one of my best friends from college is interviewing down there.. and if she does get it.. that would be awesome.. one more girl on the west coast that i can hang with.. seriously, it's way harder to meet cool and fun girls when you get older.. i wonder why that is.. some people would say it's the whole competitive thing.. you know.. supposedly there aren't enough guys out there for all of us.. but i don't know about that.. i think that it's just because some girls don't realize the whole reason of having friendships with other girls.. but there are benefits.. and no, it's not just to talk sh*t about guys.. though that could be one of them.. :)

what else?? hmm.. well, the roomie is off on location till august.. and i'll be out of this place at the end of the month.. so the apartment will be empty for at least 3 weeks.. at at most.. 6 weeks.. that's when she comes back.. and hopefully i'll be back before then.. fingers crossed..
