sorryyyyy :)

ok.. so basically i suck.. i haven't written in almost forever.. and if ever had a loyal following, i'm guessing it might be gone by now.. sorryyyyyyy!! :)

i do have updates for everyone though.. the roomie and i finally had our housewarming party last friday!!! it was a cheese & wine party.. and it was awesome.. her mama catered it.. and southern comfort showed up with his hermosa beach crowd and his sister.. so that was awesome.. here are some of the things i remember.. shots in the kitchen.. more than i should have had.. but it's his sister's influence.. she's only 22.. but people.. she can hold her own.. it's crazy.. i think that i should spend more time with her and learn!! :)

so yeah.. shots of jager.. single barrel.. tequila.. lots of wine.. and all that on an empty stomach.. need i get graphic with how the rest of the night went?? how about i don't :) but it really was fun.. a random assortment of people.. neighbors.. "survivor" people.. my work peeps.. hermosa beach.. it was great.. i don't remember the end of it.. since i was asleep by the time everyone left.. i say asleep.. others might use "passed out".. oh well.. you choose! :)

so that was last friday.. the best part was that southern comfort left with his friends.. and then.. all of a sudden reappeared.. how cute is that?? yeah.. i thought it was awesome.. and he lives between 25-45 minutes away (depending on traffic).. so woohooooooooo :)

and on sunday.. my mama arrived!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yeah.. she's here.. chilling with me in la.. and we're having a good time so far.. she's keeping busy.. she's good at that.. and i am entertaining her.. or i should say.. TRYING to entertain her when i am not working.. last night we had a big dinner at home and it was awesome.. the food was great and the company was good as well :) again, another random assortment.. but it was fine.. so the mama met the boyfriend.. and she liked him.. called him "nice and polite".. i'll get more details tonight.. :)

so that's pretty much an update on me.. nothing more to share here.. so see.. there was really no reason for me to write earlier.. oh wait.. one more thing.. pinky is in lurve!!!!!!!! yeah.. check out her blog and you can get all the details.. i hear about it every second of every day.. thanks bc! :P

on being a girlfriend..

oh yeah.. the words were spoken.. and people, it's official.. i AM a girlfriend.. yup.. you can all faint along with me.. southern comfort is my boyfriend.. how weird it is to type that out.. our 6 month-date-a-versary just passed (on the 5th).. and well, i can't believe it!!

i know he might be reading this.. but you know what.. i'll just have to deal with that.. but i had to update y'all on the developments.. and wait, it gets better.. on saturday it's his grandfather's birthday.. (wait for it...) so since i am now the official gift picker-outer.. we are going to go and buy him something.. and then (here it comes).. we are going to his GRANDPARENTS' HOUSE to celebrate.. did you read that?? go back and read it again.. TO THEIR HOUSE!! and you know what else.. his entire family that lives out on the west coast will be there!!! that includes his aunts, uncles.. cousins.. potentially his boss.. and fingers crossed, his sister that i met a few weeks ago, she's super cool..

so, how am i handling this?? well.. if the CAPS are any indication, i am super calm about it.. ahahahahahahaa.. so that's one update on that.. what do we have to say to that people???

on another note.. football season starts TONIGHT!! i cannot wait, i joined an office football pool and it seems that my bets are pretty much opposite whatever southern comfort would bet if he was in the pool.. and pretty different from my own brofo's bets.. so we'll see how i do.. either i'll kick a** or one of them will.. let's keep our fingers crossed for me!!

and on a final final note.. d. and i are coming up on our 21 year anniversary tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!! can you believe that?? 21 years ago, she offered me a piece of gum and i threw it at her face after i chewed on it, a little bit.. ok.. maybe not exactly like that.. but she asked me if i wanted gum and i said "no".. in her version i said "f*ck you you stupid b*tch.. and stop offering me gum".. i was 8, so you believe what you want :)

oh wow..

so it seems that i have gotten even lazier.. if that's at all possible.. one whole week and nothing from me?? wow, i am impressed with myself.. so here's the update.. i've decided to get active again.. yeah.. that means exercise videos.. tennis.. more walking.. and whatever other cardio i can get myself into.. it's been interesting starting off.. but i feel like i'm not really convinced yet.. i guess that it will kick in at some point this week or the next.. it has to! :)

other than that.. work's ok.. nothing too exciting there except for the fact that i am pretty much stuck in excel hell every other day.. but it's ok.. there are worse things.. like filing.. which i have been avoiding.. i know, it's all going to get done one of these days.. so might as well start now.. but i am delaying the inevitable..

southern comfort and i are doing well.. we had our "talk".. and we're officially labeled now.. i won't get into more than that.. but it's allllll good :) also, about southern comfort.. our first date was 6 months ago today.. how insane is that???? happy half-aversary to me!!

that's pretty much my news.. i will write more when i have some energy to do so.. in the meantime though.. stay well..
