karaoke queen!
K.. so who hasn't wanted to be a famous singer?? I bet we all have.. at some point.. and those of you that sing in the shower.. yeah.. you too!! Anyway.. that probably explains why karaoke is such a hit.. for those 3 minutes.. you are a star.. regardless of how you sound.. what kind of musical skills you have.. the show is on.. and you are the performer.. and people.. that was me last night.. ahahahaahahahahah :)
It was awesome.. i have never belted out a tune in public.. but because i didn't really know the people we were sharing the karaoke room with (lost in translation style), i didn't really care.. i sang and sang and sang.. and ok.. you people have NO idea what i sound like.. but let's just say.. i would never audition for american idol.. only because i wouldn't want simon to rip me a new one.. ahahahahahahaah..
Anyway.. it was great.. and the song selection spoke for itself.. people were choosing the 80s and 90s.. and towards the end.. most of the people we were with had been drinking (myself excluded only because i was driving).. and the rest were cleaning up the room we rented.. and you know... there was room for one more song.. so i flipped through the "new songs" book.. and punched in a few numbers.. and people.. i got down with Beyonce's "check up on it".. which is the FUNNEST song in the world.. it was a perfect ending to a totally random evening!! Wow.. my voice is kind of hoarse today.. :)
And then there's tonight.. the Salsaaaaaaa class.. i cannot cannot cannot wait.. basically.. this is what this week needed.. it's been so crazy and stressful at work that i really need some sort of winding down thing which doesn't include drinking my face off (we'll save that for the weekend!!).. so yeah.. anyone that's stressed.. go sing.. and then.. follow that up with a dance and you are good to go!!! :)
Well.. i gotta get back to my excel hell.. everytime i think i'm done, i get something else.. and i made the big mistake of showing efficiency.. so now.. they know that i will get it done fast.. and you all know what that means right.. MORE WORK!!!
