tests being passed and another ode..

So yeah.. i figured out how to get my picture up.. it only took a little over a month.. ahahahahahah.. sad sad sad.. and now i need to find a different picture to put up.. since i am sure that everyone is going to think that that's my daughter.. and since i'm still single.. and don't have any kids.. well, you do the math :) Ahahahahahah..

Anyway.. the weekend's been a good one so far.. mainly chill out.. yesterday we went out and bought all the stuff we'll be needing to paint this place.. so that should be interesting.. to say the least!! And an ode to the people that work in the paint section at Home Depot (in our neighborhood at least) you are the most condescending people in the universe.. ok.. sorry home depot employee that i am not sure as to how to paint a room.. i didn't know that this was COMMON knowledge and you, being all superior.. cannot even share that information.. so here's what i say to you.. try coming to my job and opening LC's worth millions of dollars.. being responsible for shipments and inventory and employees in two different continents.. basically doing what i do every single day.. what, you have a question?? Too bad.. i don't have time for you.. -the end.

Seriously though.. what's up with them.. and then.. they're not the only ones.. try going in to Whole Foods and asking for a coke.. if looks could kill.. ahahahahaha.. and even better.. my roomate went in there a few months ago and asked for a pack of cigarettes.. i wish i was there to see it!! Ahahahaah.. they are probably still talking about it.. but seriously.. who are these people kidding.. yeah.. ok.. organic is better.. but just because you WORK there.. doesn't mean that you are.. know what i'm saying (that also goes to you to mr. paint guy at home depot)? I don't get what's up with that.. or maybe it's just LA.. that could be it.. i didn't really feel that in san diego..

Other than that.. we're going to start painting today.. let's see how it turns out.. it should be interesting, to say the very least.. i have decided to kind of go for an indian theme in my room.. i'm not sure what that means except that there will be lots of colors involved.. let's see if i regret it.. i'll post pics only if i like the final result.. :)

And now the reason i actually started writing today.. y'all remember southern comfort.. and the "tests" i said i had going on him this weekend?? Well.. people.. make sure you are sitting down for this one.. he has passed every single one of my totally ridiculous tests!! He's in Vegas with best friends.. and has made contact by calling before he left on thursday and then..via text messages.. on friday night and today.. that's big, for me.. i didn't think that i'd be hearing from him till tomorrow.. but he's surprising me.. so i like that.. and i think that i am starting to like him.. we'll see when date #3 comes up..

Ok.. now i'm off to finish fixing this place up.. we have my roomie's family coming over for lunch.. they're bringing everything.. so the least we can do.. is tidy up a little bit.. until tomorrow readers.. i hope that you all had a great weekend!!!

The bit about Home Depot staff sounded pretty classist. Lack of style.

Anonymous.. you are obviously entitled to your opinion.. as we all are.. however, the comment of "classist" is not something i can agree with.. when a store's whole advertising campaign revolves around "you can do it, we can help".. well, the minimum you expect when you go in there is some help. This is not my first negative experience in Home Depot.. it's the second in less than 2 weeks (same store.. different departments).. And in reality.. if someone came to my job to do something, i would help them out.. because i know what it's like to be new at something and to have NO clue what you are doing..

If that is classist, then i must have a different definition of the word in mind..
