and of course.. an issue..

Hello cyberspace!! As my "regular" readers know, i've been on the hunt for an apartment in the LA Area for the last 2 weeks.. and as i have commented previously, it's way harder finding an apartment here than it is to find a job!! So.. here's the update.. that one application that we submitted in Bel Air was ACCEPTED!! We got a call on Friday night letting us know that we're basically "in".. and that all we need to do is meet with them on Monday for a "face-to-face".. and in order to sign the lease.. sounds nice and simple, doesn't it?? Yeah.. i thought so too.. until we went to go see this other property.. in the Santa Monica area.. and for those of you that know the area.. imagine Montana.. and then walk a few steps down one of the side streets.. that's where it's located.. walking distance from EVERYTHING!! So, yeah.. basically.. smack in the middle of the action..

I knew things wouldn't go as smoothly as planned.. because here's the dilemna now.. i want one property and my roomate wants the other.. basically.. i want santa monica.. and she wants bel air.. we each have our own selfish reasons for wanting each property.. so here we are.. and a decision needs to be made TONIGHT.. so it's up to her.. i've left the ball in her court because i have given all my "why we should live in santa monica" arguments (including but not limited to the fact that we're both young and single and should be in the middle of all the action.. the rent is cheaper.. the unit is bigger.. i could go onnn and onnnn!!) I can't do any more than that.. but i am kind of in a weird place.. because this is something about me.. that those of you that know me.. will be nodding right along as i write this out.. here's what it is.. the more she says she doesn't want it.. the more i DO want it.. i mean.. i liked it when i first saw it.. i loved the location.. liked the apartment.. but now.. now that it's looking like the bel air option might win out.. now i LOVE it.. what's up with that???

So.. basically i'm just waiting for her call.. i know what she's going to say.. i mean.. she's a super nice person.. and i know that she wants to like the santa monica property and that it's going to be really hard for her to say that she chooses bel air.. but i know the inevitable is coming.. in just a few minutes.. my phone will ring and it will be official.. and i guess that at that moment, i'll know how i really really feel.. or if this is just a "i want it my way" deal.. know what i mean? We'll see.. it ain't over till it's over.. wish me luck.. :)

What else?? Hmm.. that's basically all that's been happening this weekend.. i did some food shopping today.. some laundry last night.. so yeah.. as you can all tell.. i am SO living the life right now.. ahahahaaha.. but whatever.. it's exhausting looking for a place.. so i needed some "quiet" time just for me.. and that's what i needed to do.. next weekend is move-in time.. so if i think that it was tiring just looking for a place.. i might drop dead next weekend getting my stuff out of storage and unpacking.. ewwww.. i just got tired thinking about it!! Ahahahahaha..

Ok.. well.. enough talking about nothing.. i hope you all had a great weekend.. another work week is about to start.. so hope all of you have a great Monday.. and Happy Chinese New Year!!!!
